Lilong protests anti-Islam film

Imphal, September 25 2012: Several Muslim NGOs including the influential Anjuman Islah-e Muahsrah on Tuesday took out in the street to protest against the American film 'The Innocence of Islam' and burnt effigy of President Barak Obama and the country's flag in Lilong in Thoubal district of Manipur.

Muslims across the globe are fuming over the film which has also incited violence and mass protests in many countries because they are saying it has insulted Prophet Muhammad.

The protest rally was started from Lilong Madrasa and marched till Lilong bazaar during which the demontrators chanted slogans such as "Punish the film producer" and "The the decision of the US which has underestimated the Islam should be withdrawn" .
