Bishnupur, May 24 2018: Mock drill on disaster response was performed today by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), 12 Bn Doimukh (AP) at the Mini-Secretariat Complex, Bishnupur under the theme "Collapse, Structure, Search and Rescue (CSSR)" .

The drill was organized by NDRF and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Manipur.

Attending the event, the Deputy Commissioner, Pawan Yadav expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the team for organising the drill in Bishnupur.

He also stressed the importance of the subject with many natural and man-made calamities such as flood, fire and medical emergencies which may occur in the district.

He urged the participants to pay utmost attention and acquire the skills for timely response to any disaster.

The team performed different responses and rescue exercises related to ambulatory services, flood, building collapse, cyclone and thunderstorm during the drill.

AKC Singh, CO, 12 Bn, NDRF, District Level Officers, members of State, Disaster Response Force and District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), and many others attended the event.
