Imphal, February 22 2015: MLA of Keishamthong assembly constituency Laisom Ibomcha on Sunday said that no other law except the 'draconian' Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) is effective in the State.

He was speaking as Guest of Honour of the 2nd annual celebration cum salutation of teachers organized by Ram Lal Paul 1982 Matric Alumni Association at Ram Lal Paul Higher Secondary School here.

MLA Ibomcha further said that Ram Lal Paul School was once a notable school of the State where many sincere and dedicated teachers taught.

MLA of Thangmeiband assembly constituency Kh Joykishan also attended the celebration as Guest of Honour.
