Bishnupur, January 22 2021: Dr Yuhlung Cheithou Charles (Sociologist) launched his fourth book titled 'Ethnomedicines of Chothe Tribe, Manipur', published by Astral International, New Delhi at Lamlanghupi Youth Volunteer Organisation (LYVO) Hall, today.

The book is the outcome of original research amongst the Chothe tribe of Manipur.

In the study, a total of 130 ethno-botanical plants were identified belonging to 58 families and treating about 69 ailments, sicknesses and diseases.

The programme was attended by Dr Rev Fr Hector D'souza (Principal, Loyola School, Bishnupur), H Thambaljao Chothe (Former Councillor), Thao Jatra Chothe (Village Chief) and Yuhlung Maipak (ECC Advisor) .
