Post-Harvest Technology training underway

The second batch of Post Harvest Technology training programme sponsored by Department of Bio-Technology, Government of India has begun on Thursday at Krishi Vigyan Kendra Hengbung campus.
The three-day training programme was inaugurated by Dr N Jyotsna, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Hengbung, Senapati.
The programme is being organized by Amity International Centre for Post Harvest Technology & Cold Chain Management, (AICPHT& CCM), Amity University, Noida, Uttar Pradesh in collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Hengbung Senapati.
Dr BS Hansra, a Professor from AICPHT& CCM, Amity University, Noida, UP highlighted the needs and importance of post harvest management as source of livelihood during the function.
Dr Neeru Dubey, Nagaluxmi M Raman, Dr J Shankara Swamy from Amity University and Nemnu Hangshing from KVK-Senapati attended the as resource persons in the technical sessions where more than 35 rural women and youths from different SHGs of Senapati district participated.
