Household gadgets destroyed in power lines collision

Most of the household items like TV sets, refrigerators, computer sets and other electrical wares were destroyed in Sangaiprou area in Imphal on Thursday after an HT line of Sangaiprou 33/11 KV Sub-Station collided with another LT line and also causing power outage in the area.
The newly installed Sangaiprou 33/11 KV Sub-Station is all set to inaugurate by the state Chief Minister tomorrow but the local residents of Sangaiprou area are protesting the incident and decided to bar the inaugural ceremony.
Chief Minister O Ibobi will dedicate five power sub-stations--Kangla 33/11 KV, Kakwa 33/11 KV, Saingaipat 33/11 KV, Kongba 132/33 KV Sub-Stations including the Sangaiprou power sub-station to the people tomorrow.

Saingaprou residents are demanding that the state government should pay adequate compensation to all the house owners whose properties have been destroyed in the the electric current collision.
However, an official who is taking charge of the Sangaiprou power sub-station told the media that steps will be taken up to give compensation to all the residents who have lost their properties in the incident.
Meanwhile, official report said an Online Energy Billing Portal will be launched for imphal East Division-I (IED-I) .
