'100 Action Points' programme begins in Pherzawl

As part of state government's efforts to ensure development and governance to people's doorsteps, a '100 Action Points for First 100 Days' programme Sub-Division Development Monitoring Mission was kicked off on Wednesday at Community Hall, Pherzawl district headquarters.
The official kick-off programme was organised by Pherzawl District Administration and prabhari officers for Pherzawl District with active involvement of village chiefs and CSOs.
During the programme, Pherzawl deputy commissioner Joseph Pauline Kamson said Sub-Division Development Monitoring Mission is a new concept and that development at the grassroots level is imperative to improve the social, cultural and economic well-being of families, communities and societies.
The DC assured that the District Administration will conduct door to door survey so that those eligible for various schemes avail the benefits.
He asserted that teachers of ZEO & ADCC were roped-in as enumerators for collection of preliminary data and an economic index survey exercise will be conducted in 53 Villages including hamlets to ensure initiative taken by the government is translated into action.
He also maintained that construction of ITI Pherzawl, setting up of urban amenities in the district headquarters and activation of Transit Accommodation are in the pipeline and emphasised that the Prabhari Officers will review development programmes to sort out issues in the sub-division and focus on major themes such as "One Sub-Division One Product", "One Family - One Livelihood".
During the programme, a District Meeyamgi Numit was also held with village chiefs and representatives of different villages to rectify various issues concerning the district.
Apart from the two prabhari officers Haotinkhup Haokip and Ngangbam Roman Singh, the programme was attended by other DLOs.
Meanwhile, Block Health Mela were organised at Thanlon Community Hall on Tuesday, and Parbung Community Hall and Ankhasuo Community Hall on Wednesday.
