MLA Rameshwor calls for unity amid crisis

Noting tension betweep the Meetei and Meetei Pangal communities amid the ongoing crisis, Keirao MLA Lourembam Rameshwor Meetei has called for unity, urging everyone not to be swayed by rumour mongers but to remain united and help one another.
Speaking as chief guest during the inauguration of the new office of Youth Guidance Club (YGC), Keirao Makting Mayai Leikai, MLA Rameshwor expressed concern over the rise in undesirable in cidents such as thefts and gang activities and pointed out the need for local clubs to stay alert and vigilant.
He also urged the public not to conceal incidents of looting, extortion or monetary demands by various organisations but to prompt report such anti-social activities to the police or local clubs in order to collectively address these issues.
While expressing concern about the increasing cases of thefts and extortions, the MLA highlighted the importance of tackling the drug trade and strengthening local clubs to combat these problems.
Presided over by YGC president Dr Khatabuddin, the function was also attended by Imphal East CMO Dr Lourembam Indira as guest of honour.
