Govt sans JD-U impossible in state: Rajiv Ranjan

Janata Dal United (JD-U) national president and Lok Sabha MP Rajiv Ranjan has said that it would be impossible to form the next government in the state without the support of the party.
Attending a mega political assembly held at Hapta Kangjeibung, here on Saturday, Rajiv Ranjan said that the 2022 state assembly electionwillbeatough fight forall and JD-U will bepartofthe next government irrespective of which party will emerge as the single largest party.
Without support of the JD-U, no political party can form the government.
In Bihar, the Nitish Kumar government provided 55 per cent reservation for women and scripted a new history of independent India towards women empowerment.
At the same time, providing 33 per cent reservation for job to women in government departments is also the first of its kind in the entire country and self-help groups are playing major role in women empowerment.
He also strongly opposed continued imposition of AFSPA in the state and said that there is no place for the Act in a democratic country.
He then assured of removing AFSPA, which has become a tool of extra-judicial killings, from the state if the party comes to power.
Status of road connectivity, drinking water and other infrastructure are in poor state in the state.
The party can bring development in real sense if it becomes part of the government in the state, he said.
The MP also criticised the failure of the state government to hold ADC and local bodies elections, delay in completion of the National Sports University project among other issues concerning the state.
JD-U general secretary Harshvardhan Singh, north east in-charge Afaque Ahmad Khan, national secretary and Manipur in-charge Ramprit Mandal, JD-U Arunachal Pradesh president Ruhi Tagung and JD-U Manipur president former minister Hangkhanpao Taithul were also present at the event.
