Imphal, August 18 2018: The CorCom has claimed that the attack against 6th Sikh Light Infantry at their Theigotang post, Churachandpur district under Singhat police station was carried out by their IFF under JMC as a part of Operation Langdai.

According to a press release issued by CorCom media coordinator Leibaak Ngaakpa Luwang, the offensive was carried out at around 5.20 am of August 15 to convey a message to the whole world that the people of Manipur (Kangleipak) ought not participate in the Indian Independence Day celebration.

JFF fighters attacked the post from a very close range using sophisticated weapons like rocket launchers and grenade launchers.

Two bunkers and two barracks of the post were completely reduced to cinders as a result of the offensive.

Saying that they will carry on the military offensive until the lost sovereignty of Manipur is restored, the CorCom sought continuous support from the masses.
