Only ZU to organise Lui- Ngai- Ni

Tamenglong, January 17 2014 : Zeliangrong Union (ZU), Tamenglong held a meeting yesterday at the its office and decided that no organisation other than Zeliangrong Union should take the responsibility of organising the Naga Seed sowing festival Lui- Ngai-Ni 2014 in Tamenglong district.

The meeting resolutions made available to media stated that ZU Tamenglong zone has so far no notice of the Lui- Ngai-Ni which is to be celebrated at Tamenglong.

Such mega festival of the Naga people should be properly acknowledged and notified to the office of Zeliangrong Union for necessary arrangement.

The meeting presided over by SP Athui, Chairman ZU Tamenglong Zone also discussed the ongoing restriction imposed by Zeliangrong Youth Front on vehicles from stopping at Longmai (Noney) for lunch/dinner in connection with the 12 December 2013 incident between ZYF and orange festival committee.

The meeting condemned victimization of the public and made it clear that orange festival committee/ Longmai has nothing to do with the public and so it is meaningless to harass the public by ZYF.
