Awareness prog on minority welfare schemes held

Imphal, March 16 2021: A one day awareness programme on the theme 'Schemes for The Welfare of Minorities Implemented by the Government' was organised at Lilong Nungei today.

The programme organised by Social Upliftment and Education Development Organisation, Ningthi Khongbal Nungei under the sponsorship of Manipur State Minorities Commission was attended by Anwar Hussain, chairperson, Manipur State Minorities Commission; Abdul Hakim, secretary, Manipur State Minorities Commission; Mohammed Islamuddin, president, Social Upliftment and Education Development Organisation, Ningthi Khongbal Nungei; Kharga Tamang, member, Manipur State Minorities Commission; Mohammed Ayub Khan, former president, UMDO and Sumarjaan from Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission.

Anwar Hussain said all the minority communities should take full benefits of all the schemes meant for the welfare of the minorities and for this one should approach the office of the directorate personally.

He also assured all the help from his side regarding information and details on schemes.

Abdul Hakim spoke in detail about various minority scholarships and madras modernisation schemes.
