Imphal, October 15 2013: To commemorate the historic visit of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, the then President of India, to Bunglon High School in Churachandpur dist on Oct 16, 2006, the students, staffs and management of the school would be celebrating Dr Kalam's Day tomorrow.

The celebration would be attended by Genneikhup Vaiphei, Executive Member of ADC Churachandpur as Chief Guest while Thangkhomang Haokip, MDC (1-Khousabung) as Guest of Honour.

Besides, village chiefs and public of Bunglon area would be taking part in the celebration.

As in the past, the celebration of Dr Kalam's Day this year would focus on the cultural riches of Thadou, Kom, Gangte tribes, etc.

Dr Gin Gangte, IIS, the then Headmaster of Bunglon High School, who was instrumental in inviting Dr Kalam to the school, would also deliver a speech on the topic of 'Journey to Dr Kalam's Day' on the occasion, according to a statement issued by incumbent Headmaster of the school.
