NPO, PNU condemn

Imphal, September 15 2018: The Naga People's Organization (NPO) has strongly condemned the "inhuman and barbaric" killing of Inspector Neiphretuo Metsie-o Chiechama village who was posted in Pfutsero town with Company of 5th NAP Battalion.

While extending sincere solidarity and condolences to the bereaved family members, the NPO on behalf of Senapati district strongly demanded immediate booking of those responsible for the dastardly killing.

In a statement, NPO said that such brutal killing of the young police officer holds no place in society where law and justice is supreme.

The NPO stated that it will extend all support and cooperation to any investigation to nab the culprit(s) at the earliest possible.

The Poumai Naga Union (PNU), has also strongly condemned the murder of Neiphretuo Metsie-o by some unidentified criminals who dumped his body by the roadside and then fled away with his car.

"Such an inhumane act has no place, whatsoever, in our peace loving society and we are deeply saddened that a young and dynamic officer had to fall victim to the evil designs of some few outlaws," said PNU in a statement: PNU said that it stands by the family members and the tribesmen of the departed whose life was cut short by criminals.

"We share the pain and the grief of his near and dear ones," said PNU and urged all to track down the murderers and penalise them for the dastardly killing.
