Noney, December 14 2020: Youth Club of Awangkhul Part 1 village with some volunteers have taken the initiative to start repairing the stretch of NH-37 which deteriorated during the monsoon.

Movements of heavy vehicles on the road on a daily basis have also worsened the condition of the road.

Heeding the call of the Youth Club, a large number of men of the village came forward and volunteered to repair the road.

The volunteers sought necessary assistance from Noney Battalion Assam Rifles which provided construction tools and vehicles.

Equipped with construction tools, over fifteen youths in Awangkhul Part 1 village of Noney district voluntarily fixed the potholes and repaired the dilapidated road ahead of the festival season.

The locals have urged the authorities concerned to look into the matter and help expedite the road repair work as early as possible.
