Senapati, August 13 2015: The ADC Senapati has welcomed the framework agreement signed between the NSCN (IM) and the Government of India on August 3 at New Delhi.

In a statement, the ADC said that the peace accord will usher in a new era of peace and development which has been the wishes and prayers of the people.

It has also lauded the leadership and wisdom of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Government in expediting the peace process and working towards an honorable solution to the long pending Naga issue.

In a separate statement, the ADC has also condemned the brutal killing of three youths at Vahki near Purul by some unidentified gunmen.

Expressing its concern over the violence, the ADC added that, such act of brutality and unwanted activities in society will not resolve any issue but escalate tensions among the people.

It is disturbing and concerning that the peaceful environment and tranquility of the district has been affected by such unwanted incidents.

The ADC appealed to all concerned to shun any form of violence.
