Union MoS Dr Bharati visits RIMS

Union minister of state for Health & Family Welfare Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar on Monday paid a visit to RIMS along with state's health minister Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh.
Speaking at the reception function organised for both the ministers cum virtual meeting at RIMS Jubilee Hall, Dr Bharati highlighted that India has marched remarkably in the field of healthcare system and sector.
"The country is at a new height of excellence.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare under the able leadership Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been successful in eradicating multiple diseases", the Union minister said, adding that India is also known as the world's pharmacy.
Further stating that the country has become one of the biggest suppliers of quality but low cost medicines, she conveyed that affordable and quality healthcare service is the vision of the Prime Minister.
"We have also been able to effectively tackle Covid-19 and the country has successfully vaccinated more than 194 crores citizens", maintained Dr Bharati Pravin, who also congratulated RIMS authority and staff for the smooth and successful implementation of many health schemes and programmes.
She also appealed to the young medical staff to be the torch bearers to bring the best health care system in the country.
Later, the ministerial team inspected different departments of RIMS and interacted with the doctors, nurses and hospital staff.
Additional chief secretary V Vumlunmang, Health Services Manipur director Dr K Rajo Singh, RIMS director Prof A Santa Singh and medical superintendent Prof N.Sanjib Singh, were among those who present on the occasion.
