Tamei, January 13 2015: A four-day mammoth programme of Langmei village (Chiang) concluded yesterday with large number of people participated in the event.

The programme entitled 'Chianglun Thoidam Lengbo Chamrang' began on January 9 .

Langmei villagers settled in Nagaland, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram and elsewhere conglomerated in the village which is just few kilometers away from Tamei HQ in Tamenglong district and sought blessing.

Learned personalities of the village enlightened the people with their speeches in this four-day gala event.

Feasting, fasting, cultural bonanza and social gathering were the features of programme.

Women who have married with outsiders too came and participated with their spouses and children in the programme.

It was indeed a platform to come together for many Langmei villagers who have not seen their original villagers for decades.
