Imphal, September 12 2019: After some representatives of the JAC Against the 'Murder' of Ningthoujam Babysana Chanu called on Governor Dr Najma Heptulla yesterday with an appeal to ensure that the case of Babysana is handed over to the CBI, police today informed that Babysana's father N Tomchou and his family members may give their statements in front of a Magistrate under CrPC Section 164, according to a press release issued by the JAC.

It then conveyed that Tomchou and his family members, after consultation with the JAC, are ready to give their statements in front of a Magistrate.

The JAC then reiterated its appeal to all the people of Thangmeiband to light candles at night and hoist black flags at the entrance of every household until the case of Babysana is handed over to the CBI.
