AR hosts mega event to empower women and children

Chandel, October 11 2024: Assam Rifles organized a week long mega event under the theme "Empowering Women and Children for a Brighter Future" at Aibol Joupi, Kovang, Wayang, Sehlon, New Samtal and Old Samtal in Chandel district.

An impressive number of 974 villagers including women and children participated in all the events with great enthusiasm, said a press release issued by IGAR (S).

The events aimed at engaging and uplifting women and children through various activities organized from over a week.

The activities included career counseling, motivational lecture, screening, cultural dance, yoga and mobile library.

Stationery and study materials were also distributed to school children.

The event witnessed an overwhelming response from the local community and provided a platform for empowerment, education, cultural exchange and awareness.
