ZCO bandh rescheduled

Imphal, August 09 2018: As per a joint meeting held today, the Zeliangrong Civil Organisations have decided to reschedule their 24 hours bandh, which was slated to begin from midnight today to midnight of August 15 .

A joint press release issued by Zeliangrong Baudi (Assam, Manipur, Nagaland), Zeliangrong Youth Front (Assam, Manipur, Nagaland) and Zeliangrong Students' Union Manipur (ZSUM) informed that during the meeting it was decided to reschedule the 24 hours bandh from midnight of August 15, in consideration of the different kinds of agitation planned by various CSOs of the State.

Pointing out that the bandh has been called demanding the State Government and the authorities concerned to book the individuals who were involved in the abduction of students and youth leaders on August 4, it appealed to all to extend full support and cooperation in the interest of peace and tranquillity in Zeliangrong areas.

It however warned that any unwanted incidents which result due to violation of the agitation will have to be sole responsibility of the those concerned.
