Only 37 cases active, four new cases detected

Imphal, September 08 2022: Number of active cases came down to 37 on Thursday as government bulletins reported four new positive cases of Covid-19 from two districts out of 298 samples tested in the last 24 hours with a test positivity rate of 1.3 per cent.

The four fresh cases (1 male & 3 females) are residents of Imphal West (3) and Churachandpur (1) districts.

Thursday also reported 17 recoveries following which the number of active cases came down to 37 out of which 29 are in home isolation.

No death case was reported on Thursday and the toll from the pandemic stands at 2148 including seven CAPF personnel.

So far, the virus has infected 1,39,752 individuals including 5,020 CAPF per sonnel.

There are 36 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 62 in RIMS.

In the last 24 hours, 92 D-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities and 3096 vaccine doses administered on Tuesday that took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,35,128, out of which 13,11,092 had received the second dose and 2,52,195 taken precautionary doses.

As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49800), Imphal East (32023), Thoubal (10290), Churachandpur (11278), Kangpokpi (3183), Tamenglong (3496), Bishnupur (9976), Senapati (2545), Ukhrul (3363), Kakching (6973), Chandel (2792), Noney (1173), Tengnoupal (1210), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong (1053) and Pherzawl (477).Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (712), Imphal East (517), Thoubal (192), Churachandpur (169), Kangpokpi (70), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (206), Senapati (13), Ukhrul 152), Kakching (124), Chandel (43), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (16), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0) .
