Union MoS reviews development schemes in Chandel

Chandel, June 08 2022:
Union Minister of State for Power & Heavy Industries, Krishan Pal Gurjar had a review meeting of various developmental projects/schemes being implemented in Chandel district at the conference hall of the DC on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the Union Minister said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, the central government has identified around 144 most underdeveloped districts in the country and Chandel is one of them.
In all of these districts, special emphasis is being given to proper implementation of all the developmental projects and schemes in sectors such as health, education, sports, infrastructure, electricity, drinking water, etc., so that these areas are at par with the other developed districts.
He expressed happiness that the Chandel district administration has done a good job and is working towards achieving the targets set by the central government, adding that a lot more needs to be done in the district and the central government is ready to provide all the necessary resources.
During the meeting, Krishan Pal Gurjar also inquired about the status of the implementation of various schemes like Ayushman Bharat-PMJAY, availability of medicines etc.
He emphasised the need for skill development for the youths.
He also asked for five most important issues which need to be taken care of.
The day's meeting started with a power point presentation by deputy commissioner Rajkumar Mayangalmbam on the ongoing projects in the district.
District level officers also interacted with the Union Minister during the meeting.
As part of his visit, Krishan Pal also interacted with different SHGs of the district.
The meeting was attended by SP Chandel Mahesh Naraian, ADC Chandel Md Firo-jKhan, SDOs, DLOs and other officials of the district.
