Arms and ammunitions recovered

Imphal, December 07 2024: Security forces seized arms and ammunition in search operations conducted in different areas on Friday.

According to a press note issued by Manipur Police Control Room on Friday, security forces recovered numerous arms and ammunitions from Pechi Chinglak.

The recovered items included one SMG carbine with magazine, three 35 HE hand grenade, two tube launchings, four live rounds, five 9mm magazines, 26 empty cases, one bayonet, two arming ring, one Baofeng radio set with charger.

Meanwhile, security forces also recovered numerous arms and ammunitions during a search operation conducted at Kangchup Kharang on December 5.One mortar launcher, 12 pipes used for making mortar bomb, 14 gelatin stick pieces, one bottle with gun powder, one improvised mortar launcher base, 14 demand letters of KCP (PWG) and 27 shoulder badges, five empty tube launching, two local made iron bullet proof plates, seven Camouflage pants, three wireless set chargers, one SLR rifle empty magazine, four 5.56 ammunition empty cartridges, four AK 47 ammunition empty cartridges, six 7.62 ammunition empty cartridges, six .303 ammunition empty cartridges, two AK 47 rifle ammunition, two 7.72 ammunition live rounds, three iron pipes for making mortar barrel, seven camouflage caps, two camouflage jungle hats, two camouflage bag packs, one wielding machine, one tool box and eight mobile phones were recovered by the security forces.
