Kashimpur to Leisabithol road blockade called off

Following an amicable solution between the representatives of the students and the railway constructions company on the issue of miserable conditions of the road, the blockade imposed along Kasimpur to Leisabithol road was called off today.
The blockade was called off after a meeting among the student representatives, Gram Panchayat of Sonapur, Md.Ashab Uddin; Dibong Gram Panchayat, P.Mani Singh and the representatives of railway construction companies held at Kashimpur Bazar today at 11 am.
As per agreement during the meeting, the company representatives agreed to renovate the road from Kashimpur Bazar to Leisabithol by starting the work from the 10th Sept.
to 17th Sept.
It was also mentioned in the agreement that if the companies fail to fulfill their commitment, the agitation of the students supported by the local representatives and public will continue from the September 11 .
Meanwhile, the students of Ahmedabad High School and Kashimpur Jr.
High School have thanked All Manipur Students Union (AMSU), District Committee, Jiribam; Muslim Students Organisation (MSO), Manipur Branch and All Jiribam Bengali Students Union (AJBSU) for their support during the agitation launched by students of these areas.
