Shah's visit date not finalised

Union home minister Amit Shah would be visiting the state for the 18th Lok Sabha election campaign though the exact day is yet to be decided.
According to a leader of BJP Manipur Pradesh, Amit Shah was earlier expected to visit the state on April 10 in connection with the upcoming election.
However, the schedule is yet to be finalised as there has been no official communication from the party to the state office.
Nevertheless, Amit Shah is most likely to arrive here prior to conduct of the first phase of the 18th Lok Sabha election on April 19 to campaign for BJP candidate for Inner Manipur parliamentary constituency Th Basanta Kumar and the BJP I supported NPF candidate for Outer Manipur parliamentary constituency candidate Timothy Kachui Zimik.
Meanwhile, women vendors of Nambol Bazar, Bishnupur district on Sunday staged protest against the announcement of home minister Amit Shah's likely visit to the state to campaign for the Lok Sabha election.
During the protest, one H Kunjalata Devi said that the political leaders of the nation including the home minister had been playing deaf and dumb in-spite of untold suffering of the violence-affected people for over 11 months.
She also accused Amit Shah of according importance to the state only with the approach of the LS election with the ulterior motive to woo the voters, claiming that the move is disrespectful to the people.
