Imphal, December 04 2020: A team of Manipur Police arrested one drug dealer identified as Md Mustakim (32) s/o Md Salawar Rahman of Haoreibi Makha Leikai, Lilong.

The team led by Inspector Kh Henry Singh, OC CDO I/E and Inspector Rajib, 2 I/C CDO I/E, under the supervision of Roni Mayengbam, MPS, Addl SP (Ops) I/E and under the overall guidance of Jogeshchandra Haobijam, IPS SP I/E, were conducting frisking and checking of suspected persons at different areas of Imphal East and one suspected vehicle (XUV-300) was trying to evade the police.

The vehicle, was however stopped at Chanam Sandrok, said a statement released by the police.

On thorough search of the vehicle, a total of 80,000 WY (World is Yours) tablets (in 8 packets of 10,000 tablets) wrapped in plastic was found in the vehicle and a preliminary interrogation revealed that the tablets were handed over to Md Mustakim by one Lambel of Moreh, said the police.

The arrested person, along with the seized WY tablets vehicle (XUV-300) and a mobile phone was handed over to Irilbung Police Station for further legal proceedings.
