AR organises village chiefs' meeting

Tengnoupal, February 04 2020: Moreh Battalion of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised a meeting with village chiefs and secretaries yesterday.

The meeting was attended by chiefs and secretaries of 13 villages located around Moreh town.

The recent developments and security situation and the importance of maintaining peace and harmony in the area were deliberated during the meeting, said PRO, IGAR.

The platform was also used to give a wide publicity to the upcoming recruitment rally scheduled from April 1 to 4 at Dimapur.

The village chiefs were asked to ensure maximum participation of youth from Moreh for the recruitment rally.

The proposed development projects under Civic Action Programme were also discussed during the meeting.

The participants assured the Assam Rifles for a close liaison and mutual cooperation towards the common cause of maintaining peace and harmony in the area.

They also conveyed their gratitude to Assam Rifles for giving them opportunity to share their concern.
