Injunction order imposed in Taosang village

Zeliangrong Youth Front, Assam, Manipur and Nagaland or ZYF-AMN has issued an injunction order on restricting carrying of firearms or other deadly objects and dangerous weapons within the village jurisdiction from October 31 after considering the gravity of the situation prevailing at Taosang village.
In a statement, ZYF President Titus Kamei said that the injunction order was imposed as a pre-emptive measures taken with a view to avert any form of violent and criminal activities which may create insecurity to lives and properties, threaten and disrupt peace in the village.
He stated that the ZYF team came across volatile situations in the village which may easily lead to serious confrontation between the parties in conflict.
The notice was issued to both parties for personal appearances by the ZYF so as to work out an amicable settlement.
Titus further said that customary penalty empowered under article 10 (a) and 9(b) of the organisations' constitution shall be imposed in accordance with the customary and traditional practices of Zeliangrong community upon any party who violates the order.
