'Know your Armed Forces' mela held

Imphal, March 02 2021: In continuation of its relentless efforts to motivate local populace to wean away from drugs and towards constructive nation building, troops of Churachandpur Battalion Assam Rifles organised a 'Know Your Forces Mela' including a weapon & equipment display at P Sajol Village, Henglep subdivision, Churachandpur today.

The mela and the equipment display events were organised with an aim to acquaint and motivate young boys and girls to join Indian Army or Assam Rifles, said a statement issued by PRO Assam Rifles.

A total of 52 local youth of remote villages of Tuilaphai, Mongken, N Pansang & P Sejol attended the events, added the statement.

During the event, information about nuances of the recruitment procedures including aspects of document inspection, medical fitness, physical and academic ability required for joining the Armed Forces were also brought out in detail and the youths were guided and motivated to aim for upcoming recruitment rallies, added the statement.
