Imphal, October 01 2018: Rotary Club of Imphal, RI district 3240 in collaboration with Pioneer Health Club, Khurai Tinsid Road, Imphal Eastorganised "International day of older persons" at Old Age Residential Home, Laiching, Nongpok Kakching.

The event was conducted with the theme "Celebrating older human rights champions", conveyed a press release issued by president of Rotary Club of Imphal.

Rtn Prof Sudhiranjan Thingbaijam, president Rotary Club of Imphal, Dr Khagokpam Modhumangol Singh, member Pioneer Health Club Manipur and Dr N Hemantakumar Singh, Medical Superintendent, Thoubal District Hospital seated on the dais as dignitaries.

In connection with the function, Rotary Club Imphal organised a free health checkup for the inmates of the home.

Rotary Club Imphal also donated one water tank of 1000 litre capacity, two bags of rice, 10 kgs of dal and other edible food items, two bags of charcoal and 20 blankets.

About 70 persons attended the function.
