MCM, ACODOM, KSO, HTC condemn Moreh blast

Meetei Council Moreh (MCM) and All Community Development Organisation, Moreh (ACODOM) have strongly condemned bomb attack at the Moreh Turel Wangma Ward No 7 residence of Moreh police station's second officer in-charge Laishom Premjit Singh, son of Lukhoi on Saturday at about 8.30pm .
According to a joint statement of thetwo Moreh-based organisation, the bomb attack carried out by unidentified miscreants followed by gunshots grievously wounded Premjit's wife Babita and the couple's six years old son Austin.
The two organisations also demanded clarification from individuals/groups involved in the attack within 48 hours and cautioned that failure to respond positively will compel launch of intense agitations in coordination with different communities settling in the border town.
On behalf of all the communities, of MCM and ACODOM also condemned attempt made by perpetrators of the crime to fan communal enmity in the border town by firing gunshots at several localities of the town.
Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO), Moreh block also condemned bomb attack at the residence of Laishom Premjit Singh and said that hurling bomb at densely populated area was an act of cowardice.
The KSO unit also demanded immediate booking of those involved in the bomb blast.
Hill Tribal Council (HTC) Moreh too condemned the bomb blast and said that the act was clearly handiwork of insensible individuals or organisation and such act in public area are committed by cowards who are not fit to live in a decent society.
While asserting that HTC is against any act that disturbs peaceful atmosphere in Moreh, HTC appealed to security agencies in Moreh to nab the culprits involved in the crime at the earliest so as to ensure that such crime do not recur.
