Imphal, June 01 2024:
The Government of the People's Republic of Nagalim (GPRN/NSCN) has condemned the actions of Assam Rifles (AR) and the para regiment alleging that these forces, under the guise of guarding the sensitive Indo-Myanmar border in Kamjong district colluded with KNA (B) in launching a hideous attack on the Naga Army.
Assam Rifles, on the other hand, had refuted the allegation earlier.
In a statement dated May 31(GPRN/NSCN) criticised the apparent free movement allowed to Kukis across the border while non-Kukis face discrimination.
It further alleged a free flow of weapons and ammunition towards Myanmar, aiding the KNA (B) in their operations against the junta under the Democratic Alliance Army banner.
These actions, according to the statement, are orchestrated by Indian security forces.
The Naga Army and Meetei revolutionaries under WeSEA have reportedly been targeted in clandestine operations led by Indian security forces and KNA (B).
The statement also claimed that male refugees in camps are being coerced into espionage and reconnaissance for the AR, effectively becoming their henchmen.
The statement highlighted that KNA (B) comprises individuals from Bangladesh, Manipur, and Myanmar, and operates under the command of the 21 Para Regiment and 8th Assam Rifles to combat the Naga Army and WeSEA revolutionaries.
The AR's consistent anti-NSCN stance, despite the historic 1997 ceasefire agreement between the Government of India and NSCN.
is deemed unjustifiable and absurd.
The statement accused AR of conducting covert operations against the Naga Army in Myothit in collaboration with drones and intensified frisking along the Hebron Designated Camp to Dimapur road.
