Shun opposing plan of parting Aizawl Civil Hospital land: Health Minister

Health Minister Lal Thanzara voiced his appeal to those opposing the plan of parting Aizawl Civil Hospital land with Dawrpui locality, in the heart of Aizawl, saying the same is done for the good and welfare of the people.
Health Minister was addressing the inauguration of Champhai District Hospital new building as Guest of Honour yesterday.
If the dissenters are concerned for the welfare of the people, then may they shun their opposing of setting apart the land of ACH, the Health Minister said.
Adding that he hoped Dawrpui locality and Civil Hospital would have come to an agreement yesterday, Health Minister said, "High Court has directed Chief Secretary to inspect the land in question along with Dawrpui locality and Civil Hospital leaders and to submit their decision" .
Besides making plans for the need of the hospital, they will also make agreement and submit their decision, Health Minister said.
Health Minister further said that the unoccupied land of Aizawl Civil Hospital is planned for the need of the hospital which is setting up of Trauma Centre.
Beyond the need of the hospital shall be for use of Dawrpui locality, he added.
Minister Lal Thanzara also mentioned that morgue will be set up in the land allotted to the land of Civil Hospital for Dawrpui locality which shall be useful for the hospital, he said.
For construction of Trauma centre and for refurbishment of the hospital, the government has Rs.45 crore and also there is Rs.10 crore for Dawrpui locality, the State Health Minister mentioned.
