Imphal, December 07:
Final arguments in connection with the July 20 incident began today before Upendra Commission.
One L Rajkumar of Uripok was killed while several persons were injured in firing by security forces on the day.
Advocate Milan who appeared on behalf of late Rajkumar's family argued the people gathered in and around Shamu Makhong and Uripok were not aware of the clamping of curfew.
A huge number of students who turned out to surrender their books to the Governor were blocked by police at Shamu Makhong on that day.
The counsel also argued that the firing order was not given immediately.
His argument was based on the written affidavits submitted before the Commission by all parties.
