Two more victims of the June 18 uprising gave their statements before the C Upendra Commission probing into the June 18 and July 20 incident at the Kuki Inn today.
L Naoton Sharma (22) of Bamon Leikai who was hit by a bullet at the gate of the Chief Minister's Bungalow on June 18 said he along with other protesters reached the Raj Bhavan gate after passing Keisamthong and Keishampat as the security forces had sealed off the Moirangkhom route on the day.
In the meantime, one of the protesters hoisted a seven colour flag at the Traffic Island in front of the Raj Bhavan.
The protestors became agitated after the Governor did not come out to meet them; he said adding that he saw the protestors bringing the Speaker near the Indira Park when he went to see the burning of the Assembly.
Naoton also said he heard the Speaker shouting anti-ceasefire slogans along with the protestors.
As they approached the Chief Minister's Bungalow, he heard sounds of gunfire and tried to escape from there.
He was struck by a bullet but continued running till the AG office, he said adding that he did not know who fired the shot.
There was a short argument between the counsel of the victim and the counsels of CRPF, police and the Government with the latter alleging that the former asked too many questions.
Naoton was also crossed examined by the counsels of CRPF, police and the Government.
Mayanglambam Romeo (33) of Takyel Khongbal Mayai Leikai who was also injured on the day testified before the Commission.
He said police lathi charged and fired teargas shells at the protestors when he along with other protestors were coming towards the Raj Bhavan.
