Imphal, November 27 2011:
Producing 13 photographs taken when the corpse of Dhanamanjuri was lying in Thoubal district hospital, family members of the deceased woman have raised a serious allegation that Dhanamanjuri was strangled to death ruling out suicide.
As shown by the photographs, bruises were seen on the stomach of Dhanamanjuri.
Bleeding marks were also seen around her neck.
Her skin was also seen torn on the calf.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club here today, Dhanamanjuri's eldest brother-in-law Athokpam Ingochanbi who works as an attendant in Thoubal district hospital contended that Dhanamanjuri was murdered by her husband in collusion with her mother-in-law and father-in-law.
The bruises and injury marks seen on different parts of her body as shown by the photographs clearly testified that it was not a case of suicide, Ingochanbi asserted.

Moreover, a woman who has a four year old son and who is eight months pregnant would never dare commit suicide.
He also decried the failure of the Government to fulfil the demands put up by the JAC.
The JAC has been demanding that Dhanamanjuri's husband Niranjoy, his father Mohindro and his mother be booked by November 27 and also to suspend Niranjoy and Mohindro from service.
Even though it is claimed that Niranjoy is in the custody of Lilong Police, police have not been eliciting any detail statement about the incident from Niranjoy.
He also lamented that the JAC members were denied permission to meet the Chief Minister today.
Demanding justice into the controversial death of Dhanamanjuri, Ingochanbi said that the bereaved family do no want any ex-gratia.
Khangenbam Dhanamanjuri alias Naobi of Thoubal Mayai Leirak was allegedly found hung to death at her husband's house at Thoubal Ningombam in the night of November 25 .
Dhanamanjuri and Niranjoy were quarrelling since some days back before the death of Dhanamanjuri over her husband's extra-marital affairs with another girl.
