No sugar, rice stock in Tamenglong

Imphal, September 27 2011: After all pumps have run out of petroleum stocks, there is no stock of rice or sugar in the CAF&PD godown of Tamenglong because of the ongoing twin blockades.

According to information received from Tamenglong district administration, price of Super Fine rice at Tamenglong market has escalated to Rs 900 per bag of 50 Kg capacity from the earlier price of Rs 800 per bag.

The same variety of rice costs around Rs 600 per bag.

The district level price monitoring committee today collected the price lists of goods available at Tamenglong market.

Stocks of all kinds of goods have also depleted to a very level at Tamenglong market.

Tamenglong district administration would submit a report to the State Government about the prevailing situation in the district.
