AR joins Christmas

Battalions of Hqs 28 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (South) celebrated Christmas festival with the villagers of the border areas.
The celebrations were held at Sehlon, Joupi, Sajik Tampak and Kakching.
The activities included musical evening, fireworks and refreshments for the villagers.
Christmas carols were also sung and greetings were exchanged between the Assam Rifles and the locals.
In a similar endeavour, 41 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) celebrated Christmas with children of Destitute Children Home, Ukhrul, CLOS Children Home, Old Kharasom, Gidboti Residential School, Phungcham and Mission O Mary Orphanage at Tushar.
Meanwhile, troops of the 24 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector AR under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (South) celebrated Christmas at Khudengthabi and Kwatha with villagers.
On the other hand, MBC Centre Church celebrated Christmas yesterday.
Former Chief Minister and MP Rishang Keishing while speaking at the occasion said that Jesus Christ came to the world to make it peaceful and prosperous and spread love.
Harvest Team, Baby Brianna and Christmas Melody presented Christmas songs at the celebration.
The festival was also celebrated at Tabitha Children Home, Mantripukhri.
Harvest Team Singing Group presented Christmas numbers while children of Tabitha Home presented dance items.
On the otherhand, social worker MI Khan visited the Churches of Keirao Assembly Constituency and presented ration items on the occasion of Christmas.
