Imphal, September 26 2021: Even as the Joint Action Committee (JAC) against the Brutal Murder of Athuan Abonmai has demanded the suspension of the Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police of Tamenglong, Tamenglong Deputy Commissioner Armstrong Pame has now been posted as Special Secretary (RD&PR/Power) 7 SMD/MSRLM while SP Tamenglong Mohurle Sandip Gopaldas has been transferred as SP/CID (Technical) .

The posts of Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police Tamenglong are now occupied by Hungyo Worshang (IAS) and Anupam (IPS) respectively as per a fresh transfer and posting order of 14 IAS officers issued by the Government with immediate effect.

According to the notification issued by Deputy Secretary Ph Bhavananda Sharma, at least 14 IAS and 2 IPS officers have been given new places of posting.

Mannuamching has been given the post of Additional Secretary (Horti & SC/Coop) while Joseph Pauline Kamson has been made the new DC of Pherzawl.

The remaining officers who have been transferred and their place of posting are Kengoo Zuringla (Additional Secretary TA & Hills & Director Trade Commerce & Industries in addition); Naorem Praveen Singh (Additional CEO Manipur); Neilenthang Tellen (Joint Secretary Finance/Vigilance & Director Vigilance in addition); Yumnam Robita (Deputy Commissioner of Bishnupur); Arambam Valentina (Registrar, Cooperative Societies); L Bikram (Deputy Commissioner Tengnoupal); Ng Roben Singh (Commissioner of Taxes & MD/MSCB in addition); Ahanthem Subash Singh (Deputy Commissioner Thoubal); Rangnamei Rang Peter (Deputy Commissioner Kamjong) and Krishna Kumar (Deputy Commissioner Ukhrul).

It may be mentioned that the Joint Action Committee (JAC) against the Brutal Murder of Athuan Abonmai had on Saturday served a 48 hour ultimatum to fulfil its demand including suspension of the Tamenglong DC and SP and to hand over the case to NIA among others.
