MPCC alleges misused of power by Bishnupur District DC

Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) today alleged misused of power by Pawan Yadav, Deputy Commissioner (DC), Bishnupur district.
In a press conference held today at Congress Bhavan here in Imphal, Kh Devabrata Singh, Spokesperson of MPCC said that Pawan Yadav, Deputy Commissioner (DC), Bishnupur have misused his power beyond his service guidelines under the All India Services Discipline and Appeal Rules 1969 .
"We will see if an enquiry can be conducted against him as per the law of the land", Devabrata said.
The MPCC spokesperson alleged that Pawan Yadav who is the DC of Bishnupur , a well train IAS officer knowingly sign and issued a notice for a meeting to be held on March 20, 2018 for no-confidence motion against the sitting chairperson Md Maheruddin of Kwakta Municipal council on March 9, 2018 and again issued another notice on March 19, 2018 that the meeting has been postponed until further notice which is against the Manipur Municipalities Act, 1994 which clearly states that notice of such a meeting specifying the time and place thereof shall be dispatched by the Executive Officer to every Councilor ten days before the meeting.
Devabrata also alleged that no reason and who has sought for the no-confidence motion were states in the notice issued by the DC which clearly shows that DC Pawan Yadav is working in favor of some other political group.
MPCC demands DC Pawan Yadav to re-fix the date of the postponed meeting notice issued on March 19, 2018 for the no-confidence motion against the sitting Chairman Md Maheruddin of Kwakta Municipal council at the earliest and an inquiry will be carry out against him with the help of the Law Court for his misuse of his power and unlawful like activity against the service guidelines under the All India Services Discipline and Appeal Rules 1969, Devabrata asserts.
Mention may be that there are total of 9 members of Kwakta Municipal Council in which 5 are from Congress and 4 BJP.
