Two more CT scanners now adorn RIMS

RIMS Director Prof A Santa Singh has inaugurated the newly installed two CT Scanners at New OPD Block and Trauma Centre of the health institute today.
At the function, Prof Santa said that RIMS now has three CT scanners and it would greatly benefit the people who seek health care services at the institute.
Saying that CT scan is the most commonly performed investigation after X ray, Prof Santa maintained that RIMS can now perform all forms of CT examination even at the time of emergency.
He also said that two newly inaugurated CT scanners are capable of sophisticated imagings such as cardiac CT/coronary angiography, perfusion analysis of brain for stroke, brain tumours, neuro-vascular angiography, peripheral vascular angiography, renal angiography, paediatric imaging, dual energy CT for implants, characterization of renal stones, imaging of gout to detect uric acid and high speed image acquisition (complete a scan in seconds to minutes) .

Further stating that the people should encourage the good deeds done by others instead of finding fault all the time, he maintained that RIMS will also have one world class Modular Operation Theatre, apart from inaugurating a burn unit and a psychiatric building shortly.
Medical Superintendent of RIMS Prof N Sanjib Singh also attended the programme among others.
