NSF to restrict movement of vehicles

Imphal, February 22 2016: The Naga Students' Federation has warned that if the State Government does not comply with the demands mentioned in the memorandum on February 16 on or before February 23, then it would ban the movement of all 'the Meitei/Manipuri owned vehicles in all the Naga inhabited areas with effect from February 24 starting from 6 am' .

In a statement the student body said that this decision was taken during an emergency Presidential Council meeting held today.

NSF also advised 'all the Naga vehicles to be cautious while plying in any of the Meiteis/Manipuris jurisdiction' .

The NSF is demanding action against the police commandos who accosted a team of the student body on February 14 at Mantripukhri while they were on their way to Ukhrul to attend the Lui-Ngai-Ni festival.
