JAC to take bodies of father-son duo, prepares for further stir

The JAC formed against the killing of Irilbung Water Supply chowkidar S Ibocha and his son S Yaiphu by KCP (MTF) Kesho Meitei in a public meeting today stated that they will take the bodies of the father and son which were lying in the mortuary of JNIMS hospitals and perform the cremation ceremony tomorrow.
Convenor of the JAC Manihar Luwang informed that the decision to take the bodies and perform the cremation ceremony was taken after taking due considerations of suggestions of the people.
However, the JAC along with Civil Society Organisations in the state will carry on further agitations until their demands are met.
Demanding resignation of the Chief Engineer Imomacha, he asserted that there is no reason for the Chief Engineer to hold on to his post when he could not save the two innocent lives even when he had plenty of time.
He again appealed to the UG organisations to stop such killings in future.
the JAC will carry out poster campaign in the whole state from tomorrow denouncing such brutal acts, Manihar announced.
Secretary HERICOUN Islam Makakcha appealed to the UG organisations to stop abducting innocent people for ransom.
Instead of creating terror in the minds of the common people, they should place the right demand to the people which is acceptable to all.
If they exceed the line of tolerance, public will rise against them someday, he said and appealed not to repeat such acts in future for a peaceful society.
Condemning the killing of the father and son, Secretary of All Manipur Women's Social Reformation Development Samaj Th Ramani said that such inhuman act will not get support from the people of the state even if they are fighting for Manipur.
She also expressed strong resentment over the inaction of the government in this incident and demanded arrest the culprits at the earliest.
Later, the meeting resolved to collect the donated amount on the day of the Lanna Thouram of the father and son and deposit the amount to save lower grade employees of PHED when similar situation arises.
