Moreh Consumers Club & Moreh Police conduct Drive Against Plastic Bags
Seized More Than 150 Dozen Package

To protect environment from pollution the Moreh Consumer Club (MCC) conducted drive against plastic bags at Moreh town today morning.
The Officer In-charge of Moreh Police Letkhohao Vaiphei and some other Police personal took part in the drive against the hazardous polythene.
Besides confiscating plastic bags from shops, stalls and roadside vendors the Moreh Consumer Clubs imparted the health hazards caused by plastic bags to shop owners and vendors and informed them to use biodegradable bags which is already available in Moreh town.The drive which was conducted at Moreh bazar, Super Market and near by godowns of Indo-Myanmar Friendship Gate No.2 .
Speaking to Tengnoupal Correspondent of Northeast Live the MCC president Seiboi Haokip said that the drive which was conducted today at Moreh town as to make a pollution free town and also to prevent the importing of plastic bags from Myanmar.
As we have all knew that the plastic bags which are imported from Myanmar spread not only in Manipur but also to all the Northeast States .
Plastic bags imported from Myanmar are Non-biodegradable and hazardous not only to human beings but also to aquatic lifes.
Moreh Consumer Clubs demand help and support from State and Central Govt.to make a pollution and plastic Free Country by stopping the importing of Non-biodegredable Plastic bags from Myanmar and China .
If the Government lacks to look after this issue then Plastic bags from Myanmar and China will make India ,the most polluted country in the world.
