Imphal, May 21 2015 : BJP Manipur Pradesh has castigated the Congress Government headed by Chief Minister O Ibobi for its inability to do anything against continuous incursion by Nagaland into the territory of Manipur.

The State Government's failure to check incursion at Dzuko Valley is a clear indication that governance does not reach the hill districts, particularly Mao sub-division of Senapati district.

Speaking to media persons at their Nityaipat Chuthek office today, BJP Manipur Pradesh general secretary M Ashnikumar asked what the Senapati DC, the SP and the Mao SDO have been doing all these days when the people of Nagaland have been encroaching into the territory of Manipur right in front of their noses.

The aggrieved people have been compelled to launch different forms of agitation including general strike because the State Government has never taken up a single counter measure in time.

The State Government's decision to take up the issue with the Government of India rather than with their Nagaland counterpart smacks of sheer irresponsibility.

The incumbent Government should step down if they don't have the will to protect the boundary of Manipur, Ashnikumar asserted.
