Imphal, March 21 2016: Taking strong exception to the bomb attack against Canchi Indane Service, Kwakeithel Lamdong Leikai on March 19, LPG distributors staged a protest demonstration at Imoinu Keithel, Kwakeithel Heinou-khongnembi Thokchom Leikai today.

The protest demonstration was staged under the aegis of the All Manipur LPG Distributors' Association and the protesters put up placards and banners which condemned inflicting casualties to civilians and launching bomb attacks in civilian areas.

One of the protesters pointed out that the spot where the grenade exploded was not far from the LPG godown.

If the explosion had set off an inferno with the LPG refills stocked in the godown serving as fuel, the results would have been disastrous.

Even mobile phones are not allowed inside LPG godowns as they are highly explosive and inflammable.

Saying that they would like to serve the public with a free mind, he appealed to all concerned to refrain from such violent activities in future.
