Imphal, December 01 2015: The 24th Imphal Book Fair 2015 was opened today at THAU Ground here.

The fair is being jointly organised by Raj a Ram Mohan Roy Library Foundation, Kolkata and the State Central Library.

Altogether 100 book stalls will be opened at the fair which is being participated by 17 firms based outside the State.

The opening function was led by Art and Culture Secretary K Radhakumar, Uripok A/C MLA L Nandakumar and MU Librarian Dr Th Khomdon as president, chief guest and guest of honour respectively.

Speaking at the opening session, K Radhakumar underscored the importance of reading books regularly and consistently.
