Imphal, September 15 2024: Expressing concern over the social unrest gripping Imphal since the last few days, the Federation of Haomee has asserted that any form of animosity among blood brothers at this point of time will only make 'our enemy' happy.

In a press release, the Federation president Sapamcha Jadumani, without taking any name, said 'show the bravado to the enemy, people will garland you with flowers' .

Saying that Meeteis are currently doing exactly what 'our enemy' wants by shredding each other and closing schools and keithels, Jadumani added that to paralyse the socio-economy of Meeteis is what the adversary aspires.

Meeteis should understand the game plan of the inimical force as they have even started using drones and rockets to attack civilians, Jadumani advised.

Claiming that Kukis who want to break the State apart have the backing of influential people, Jadumani maintained that every Meetei should be observant of the unfolding situation and think of the benefits and drawbacks before taking out any movement.

People should refrain from making the social issue gripping the State a joke by engaging in cheap politics and doing or speaking whatever they want, he advised.

Jadumani also said that the media have a big role to play to prevent Meeteis from axing their own feet.

These illegal immigrants have the audacity to demand disintegration of Manipur because they have been treated like the owner of the land all these times, he said.

Today's crisis is the fallout of the series of mistakes done by the successive Governments which came after Manipur merged with India without thinking about the future, he said while appealing to one and all to understand the gravity of the issue and lend a helping hand to secure the future of Manipur.
