Hebron (Dimapur), August 14 2015 :
NSCN (IM) Ato Kilonser Thuingaleng Muivah on Friday reiterated that there can be no solution without the "integration" of the Nagas.
He said this while addressing hundreds of participants during the '69th Naga Independence Day' .
Delivering the key-note address, Muivah stated that "some people with vested interests" have been responsible for spreading the rumour that NSCN (IM) had given up the issue of "Naga integration and sovereignty" .
He said this is how these people have created "the situation" .
Narrating the process of the negotiation with the Government of India, the Ato Kilonser said NSCN (IM) had talked with the Government of India and put up the issues on hand "seriously" .

Muivah said that NSCN (IM) had asked the Government of India if keeping the Nagas divided could bring a solution to the protracted political problem.
He said the Nagas had been "divided by external forces not by the Nagas themselves" .
NSCN (IM) had also asked the Centre if the Nagas had no right to be integrated as one.
"What is wrong? If this is not appreciated, then there will be no solution," he said.
Government of India also felt the need to "work out" a solution and see if the same issue could be resolved, he added.
Dwelling on the complicated issues with neighbours, the Ato Kilonser said the Government of India has to find a solution not by "appeasing the others" at the expense of the Nagas.
He then asserted that "without integration there will be no solution.
The Naga history and the solution have to be based on that." Muivah pointed out that if the Government of India respected Naga history, Nagas can become closer to the Indians.
The Ato Kilonser said that the "agreement" was signed based on "respecting people's wishes for sharing sovereign power" .
He said, "We also want to understand the neighbouring people and also respect their rights, they should also respect our rights" .
He however asserted that the Nagas will stand by the objective of "integration at any cost" .
